The speech should demonstrate an understanding of key concepts related to persuasion, a firm grasp of the elements of effective public speaking, and thorough analysis and understanding of all issues related to the topic. |
Quadrant D Students brainstorm issues of concern to the local community, then choose one to research. This research should include laws and policies related to the issue, personal interviews with people on both sides of the issue, relevant research on the subject, and any other meaningful sources of information. At the culmination of the research, the students must prepare a multi-media presentation that uses ethical persuasive techniques to support one side of the issue and present it to a group of stakeholders. |
